James Oh, DDS, MICOI

Meet Dr. Oh

Dr. Oh is a native of California and graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, where his father is also an alumnus. His passion for both science and performance art inspired his career choice, as he finds fulfillment in blending precision with creativty. His goal is to make every patient feel at ease and to deliver the high quality care they deserve. His favorite part of his profession is witnessing the transformative impact that having a healthy mouth and teeth have on his patients. 

 Dr Oh owned dental practices in Carmel, Salinas, and Monterey before moving to Scottsdale. He embraced technological advancements early on, adopting CAD/CAM dentistry in the late 1990s, with a strong focus on delivering minimally invasive treatments. He co-authored an article in Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry on geriatric cosmetic dentistry, and his post graduate education includes training from Spear Education, the Los Angeles Institiute of Clinical Dentistry, and the California Implant Institute. He holds an Implant Fellowship and Mastership from the ICOI and has trained with the Chao Pinhole Academy and the Garg Implant Seminars. He also  completed LANAP/LAPIP training at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry.

He remains active in the dental community and has been affiliated with organizations including the Seattle Study Club, Spear Study Club, ADA, CDA, MBDS, ADIA, ICOI, DOCS, AAFE, and AzDA.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Oh enjoys playing golf, tennis, snow skiing, playing the piano, and composing music.  Dr Oh is married to Sandy, and they have two daughters, Jessica and Tiffany.
